That would explain the sequence that followed - after I pressed 'y' -
in which the kernel complained about yet another range...

Whoa! I think thats beyond my skills - I don't think there would be
much to gain unless I could somehow map the ram so the kernel sees it
as continuous, and i could get my 32Mb ramdisk...
