[ts-7000] opto-isolated RS232/485 for PC?

OK, this is slightly OT but is anyone using opto-isolated RS232 and
RS485 PCI boards on their development PC?

If so, could you please let me know what you are using and how
successful it is?

I just toasted my dev box with what was most likely a ground loop
between the various PLCs, the TS7200, a 2 wire bus controler we're
testing, and my dev box.

The second one, too - the first time I managed to burn a hole in the
mobo.  This one was less dramatic but no less effective.  :-(
