Hi Eddie,
Thanks; more qs!

The partitions are specified in the mtd drivers.

1. Okay
//Eddie
I assume this would be in drivers/mtd/maps/ts7xxx.c . Modify, rebuild, flash. Right?

2. Reg kernel source, I saw on http://www.embeddedarm.com/linux/ARM.htm the foll:
--snip--
Technologic Systems is constantly improving the TS-Kernel -- the latest versions are:
    • ts8 version with TS-7250 support - TS-Kernel source and modules (03-01-2005)
    • ts9 version with TS-7260 support - TS-Kernel source and modules (10-27-2005)
    • ts10 version with TS-7300 support - TS-Kernel source and modules (04-10-2006)
    • ts11 version - last stable for TS-7000 boards - TS-Kernel source (07-06-2006)
--snip--

I have the TS-7200 board. Which version would be best for it? Or do all support it?

3. On a diff. topic:
I have a CF card formatted as VFAT. I copied the original TS Root File System (RFS) onto it, and booted
from it as shown in the manual. It worked, mounting the "/" as readonly. I remounted as rw.

mount shows:
$ mount
/dev/root on / type ext2 (ro)
none on /dev type devfs (rw)
/proc on /proc type proc (rw)
/dev/mtdblock/1 on / type jffs2 (rw)
$
$ mount -o remount,rw /
EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended
$ mount
/dev/root on / type ext2 (rw)
none on /dev type devfs (rw)
/proc on /proc type proc (rw)
/dev/mtdblock/1 on / type jffs2 (rw)
$

My qs are:
a)  Therefore it's ok to use a VFAT format on root? Any issues? (I did see a few warnings)
as it's "trying" to treat it as ext2 though..
So would you recommend I reformat the RFS as ext2?
b) How come I also see "/" mounted on /dev/mtdblock/1 as:
--snip--
/dev/mtdblock/1 on / type jffs2 (rw)
--snip--
What am i missing here?

TIA,
Regards,
-- Kaiwan.
