Hello again and thank you for your answer Eddie.

Does this mean that i have to replace the content of the flash to be
certain that it is working properly and if so, how?

I have been reading
"http://www.embeddedarm.com/Manuals/linuxarm-guide-rev2.0.pdf"; and it
seems to me that there is no 'old fashon ROM', only flash and that if
this is erroneously reprogrammed all is lost. Is this correct?

Also, do the three flash parts /dev/mtdblock/(1,2,3) cover the entire
flash memory or just parts that i can freely 'meddle' with? (Not freely
as in 'I can put whatever i want there' but rather freely as in 'I have
the permissions needed to replace whatever is there with something
similar that is already there').

Regards
