Hi,
I have a TS-7250 32MBof ram and 32MB of flash. The program, written in
C, running inside has sometimes to access to 32 bytes long local files
for both reading and writing. The machine where I installed the board
is sometimes turned off without shutting down the system, so, if the
program is in that same moment writing to the 32 bytes file, I'll find
it to be 0 bytes on the next boot and that is what I could expect, no
problem here.
My question is, as long as flash chip are accessed by blocks probably
bigger than my 32 bytes, when I get my_file.txt corrupted down to 0
bytes do I have to take care about other files in the flash that could
have been involved in the writing failure of a bigger block?
Will Yaffs2 handle it in such a way that only my_file.txt (32 bytes
long) will be affected?
Thanks,
Marco
