I'll leave others to answer the partitioning question, though why you need
to re-partition I don't understand. You put any new kernel over the old
one, and the root file system where the current one is.
But, I'd recommend doing all the development/testing using the CFDISK on
the ts7200, and only think about replacing the onboard flash images once
you are sure you have a functional setup. Just reduces the options for
screwing up :-)
