Is there any way to reconfigure devfs? I wonder why my particualar board was 
shipped 
configured this way - sounds like nobody else has had this problem. Anyways, 
/proc/
partitions doesn't say much:

major minor  #blocks  name

  31     0        128 mtdblocka
  31     1       6144 mtdblockb
  31     2       1920 mtdblockc
