Hi ! Jesse off!
Thnaks for reply. As u said that i required USB with
audio support.
But I have ts7250 board with additional 8-channel A/D
converter(max197 chip). So, I think i would be able to
connect audio input directly to the max197 chip. If i
m wrong then please let me know.
Now , my doubt is how to enable this ac97 support in
software as my SIP application requires devices like
"/dev/dsp". So ,How to enable this support as far as
Linux & software part is concerned.
Waiting for ur reply !
Thanks in advance !

The CPU has AC97 support, but you still need a codec
chip, some analog
support components, and some sort of audio connector
to make sound.
The TS-7xxx boards do not have this. This would
increase board area
and cost well above the next-best solution which is a
$9.95 USB-based
audio dongle. USB-audio is not so bad as it just
happens to be one of
those future proof USB devices since it was
standardized in the USB
specification and has multiple equivalent suppliers in
the market.
(unlike USB wifi)
