Hello,
I had the same two problems when using:
binutils-2.15
gcc-3.4.2
glibc-2.2.5
When I changed to:
binutils-2.15
gcc-3.3.4
glibc-2.3.2
It works. Unfortunately I have not had time to investigate where the
problem actually is.
