I have a similar problem to a previous post.
My TS7250 does not boot. It happened after a municipal power failure.
I'm not sure if their was a surge or brownout before the failure, and I
wasn't using the standard development kit power supply.
Now my TS7250 just flashes the green led continuously, (it flashes the
red led once every 3 seconds). I assume this means the EP9302 internal
boot ROM is not finding the TS boot code on the 2K EEPROM. So it flashes
green until the watchdog resets it (then red flashes).
I'd like to boot from serial just like the Matthieu wanted to in his
post: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ts-7000/message/841
But Jesse Off pointed out the TS watchdog timer boots active, and
suggested purchasing a "blaster" daughter board.
I have a few questions:
1) can the "blaster" recover from an error in the EEPROM, or does it
just recover from errors in FLASH (redboot missing/corrupt)
2) has TS open sourced the EEPROM code? if so, where can I find it?
3) is it technically possible to boot from serial (JP1 set), fast enough
that I can turn the watchdog off before it resets? I think it should be
as I only need to load 2048 bytes at 9600 baud.
