i'm using a philps cam on a debian unstable with gnome 2.10
i'm using the latest driver (10.0.7a)
v4l and usb audio are working well (better than in windows in my opinion)
only v4l2 does not work..
using gnomemeeting i does not see any error in /var/log/messages
this is the output:
Jun 8 14:28:45 harlock kernel: pwc: V4L2_CID_GAMMA()=19
Jun 8 14:28:45 harlock kernel: pwc: V4L2_CID_BRIGHTNESS()=66
Jun 8 14:28:45 harlock kernel: pwc: V4L2_CID_SATURATION()=242
Jun 8 14:28:45 harlock kernel: pwc: V4L2_CID_CONTRAST()=30
Jun 8 14:29:59 harlock kernel: pwc Closing video device: 739 frames
received, dumped 0 frames, 0 frames with errors.
but gnomemeeting shows me only some green lines
i only tried with gnomemeeting (i have not found other software with
v4l2 support)
so...
1) there is some other software i can try with v4l2 support to be sure
that the problem is not related to gnomemeeting?
2) how can i investigate further to discover other data?
many thanks
Max
