I think the problem is that although messages can be sent by any members, the
FIRST message by NEW members does require moderator approval…..and we are all
new members.
And it doesn’t matter if you reply by email or online it is the same issue.
Whoever our io group moderator is must have a big backlog of messages awaiting
approval?

Yep same with me. I just tried a simple "reply" to Max's last message and it
still blocks me with Your message will be sent when it's approved by the
moderators.

the process via the io groups web page, first create a hashtag then go to ‘New
Topic’ and select your just-created hashtag, to write the actual message. So I
did all that, seemed to be working until I clicked ‘send’, then a message
popped up - 'has to be approved by the moderator’. I don’t know how Max C’s
message got past that barrier!
