I don't have the Zoom F4 so I can't speak to its qualities, but the MixPre = 3 is an extraordinary piece of kit. It is almost pocket sized (a coat poc= ket will certainly hold it). I can power mine for hours with an inexpensiv= e rechargeable battery pack with type C output - https://www.amazon.com/gp/= product/B079Z4RHZZ/ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079Z4RHZZ/ =0D =0D I don't have some fancy recording gear bag for mine. I keep mine with the= battery pack, two mics and two 5 foot XLR cables in a small cheap padded D= SLR bag with I can throw over my shoulder. The bag is room enough that it = can hold everything plugged in and I can use the recorder without removing = it.=0D My camera bag is an old one I already had, but I bet I could replace it fo= r $20 online?=0D |
