I've also been following this topic for a while, having invested in a holop=
hone surround sound capsule years ago, but the technology wasn't there yet =
for playback.

 VR gaming seems to be taking the lead on virtual audio 360 playback with h=
ead movement recognition, and the latest Garmin Virb 360 VR camera has 4 ch=
annels of audio in each direction to help that along.
