A capacitor will do both, roll off the low frequencies and block PIP so you=
can use your own supply. The smaller the cap, the higher the rolloff start=
s. Sensitive to the source and destination impedances, so it=92s a custom t=
hing. Start with 1uF and see what happens.

> Hi all, EM172 and other capsules with PIP powering are a great resource f=
or building both specialized and general purpose microphones. I some cases =
it would be useful to have a high pass filter to limit low frequency noise,=
e.g. generated by breeze or wind.

to insert a simple HP filter in between the capsule and the recorder input=
, eventually also considering to replace the PIP from recorder with a dedic=
ated battery.
