Yes, this recorder requires stereo files. The speaker of the PCM-M10 seems =
to be very weak at 30 kHz and the frequency responses of the microphones us=
ed in toy bat detectors are also far from ideal. I would therfore guess tha=
t the weak 30 kHz signal was just buried in the noise floor of the bat dete=
ctor. So, you should also try other frequencies such as 25, 35, 40 and 45 k=
Hz.
