Juan,

I once washed out a professional Nagra recorder which had seawater over it,
and used it for several years afterwards. That was before integrated
circuits and surface mounted components on printed circuit boards.

If salt water has got underneath the chips with volts still on the board,
I'm afraid the damage may be irreparable. I haven't tried washing modern
type boards, but I would expect problems. Have a go anyway, but don't spend
money on it.

As for mics, it depends on whether water got into the capsule. If it was not
built into the recorder, and the capsules are sealed, careful washing may
work, but if water got inside the capsules, there is very little hope.
Sorry.

For future reference, if anything electronic gets wet, get all the batteries
out within seconds. If the circuits get corroded, there is usually nothing
you can repair.
