Yeah, my NT5's have ~15dB self-noise and I wouldn't want to go any higher t=
han that. On that front the Telinga's win hands down (14dB for Clip-on's, 1=
2dB for EM-23 vs. 23dB for DPA - if I read the specs right).
But it looks like I can't power the Telinga's with my PMD661, so what would=
be your recommendation for a portable high quality (and reasonably afforda=
ble) field recorder to use with the Telingas? Also, what exactly are the di=
fferences between the Clip-On and EM-23? I can't figure it out from the web=
site.
