non rechargeable lithium batteries are available in many different formats.
AA and AAA are usually 1.5V for consumer products and may provide 4-8 times
longer duration. However I suggest to sacrifice a set of batteries to make
a test to verify the real duration with your equipment. I normally use
Energizer Lithium Ultimate (easy to find on Amazon at good price about
2=E2=82=AC-3=E2=82=AC each)
C and D size are more difficult to find and often are 3.0V or 3.6V for use
in specific equipment. The most powerful are 3.6V 19000mAh ! You can modify
a battery holder to have pairs connected in parallel rather than in series
to keep voltage in the range accepted by your equipment. These are very
costly, 20=E2=82=AC to 30=E2=82=AC each.
