Vichy, John, how true is that!
In the trunk of my car there is always a setup of em172 (both in parabola and 
in Sass or Olson Wings) and a cheap Zoom H1, all ready for any eventuality.
In this way I got some good recordings of rare or uncommon calls and songs of 
birds, insects and more.
