Hello everybody! =0D
I wonder if anybody had the chance to get these two working together. At t=
he moment I currently use sennheiser mkh8020's stereo set going into the So=
und Devices usb pre 2. I run the sound card in standalone mode with an exte=
rnal 5 volts battery and pick up its spdif out with a microtrack II (which =
has spdif input). The system works pretty well, it's quite a mess of cables=
but I've been using it a lot for 3 years. =0D

Btw, for an art installation project, I recently had the chance of using R=
aspberry PI with the Satellite CCRMA Linux distribution, which facilitates =
a lot the learning curve of getting one of these small computer working. Wh=
at's really fantastic of this Linux distribution is that it makes very easy=
to make a patch that runs at startup of the little computer making it usab=
le with no screen, the distribution come with many audio softwares pre-inst=
alled (I use pure data). Also, the raspberry runs with a 5 volts battery, m=
aking it easy to build a portable system.=0D

I would really like to use the Rasp for recording in the field (through a =
simple pure data patch and a mini usb keyboard) but I could not get Linux t=
o work with the usb pre 2. Did any of you ever tried this combination of Li=
nux with Sound Deices?=0D
 Thanks,=0D
