Yes, and consider using an external warm battery kept under your outer clothing for prolonged use outside. Take poly bags to seal up cold mics and recorders and cameras before taking= them into the warm to prevent condensation. Silica gel will keep dry things dry if sealed up but it will absorb very little moisture and is not easy to regenerate. I sometimes use natural woollen cloth ironed dry till it stops steaming then cooled off in a sealed= poly bag. David Brinicombe |
