Hello there,

New member here with a new member question: what shock mount would you reco=
mmend, or not, for the ME66 microphone?

Here is the context in which the microphone will be used. I'm a birder in U=
SA-California and I decided to get into recording the sounds of birds to ge=
t better at recognizing their songs and calls, to document local rarities, =
that kind of enthusiastic amateur stuff. Thus far I have ordered the Marant=
z PMD661MKII (Oade Super Mod) and the Sennheiser ME66. I went for the ME66 =
instead of the ME67 because I anticipate that initially I will enough troub=
les as it is when handling and pointing the microphone in the field.

I have been researching on this group which shock mount I should get for th=
is set-up, but I haven't managed to reach a conclusion on this. Among the o=
ptions that I'm considering are: Rode PG2, "Rycote Medium Hole Softie Lyre =
Mount & Pistol Grip", Pearstone DUSM-1, Azden SMH-1, Audio-Technica AT8415,=
and so on. From experience, what would you recommend? I'm especially curio=
us to read about comparisons between some of these options. I hate wasteful=
ness, so the robustness of the mount is an important aspect for me.

Thanks,
Wim
