I was going to write about coincident versus spaced, and also focussing mics but forgot. :-) Telinga and other parabolas win out by focussing the sound pressure giving= something like a 12dB lift at hiss frequencies, swamping the mic hiss even= on "affordable" mics. Plug for my Brinibox prototype stereo horn - it also gives about 12dB lift.= David Brinicombe |
