well, the 3D mic pro data sheet states the S/N > 62 dB, which implies a
self-noise of 32 dB.
I can't imagine using that mic for nature recording with such
high inherent noise.

I would suspect that the 'array' model isn't much better. If those mic elem=
ents
were simply wired in parallel, the aggregate self noise should only drop by=

about 6 dB.

I'll stick to the AT-402x series mics, thanks.
