Hi all,

I just got back from a trek up Cerro Pirre in the Darien of Panama, and whi=
le up there I encountered a problem with my MKH20 microphone. We spent a n=
umber of nights camping and walking in extreme humidity and heavy rain, and=
on the last day of the trip I noticed there was a sheen of dampness on the=
mic, and no sound coming into the recorder when everything was turned on. =
I tested the cable and mic inputs on the recorder with another micrphone, =
and both of those worked fine, so I'm pretty sure it's the MKH. My questio=
n is, has anyone had a problem like this in the past, and if so what have t=
hey done to fix it? I put the mic in with a silica gel tin made for drying=
things out, and it hasn't helped. Many thanks for any advice that anyone =
can offer,

Andrew Spencer
