When recording in a forest, I often hide my microphones and leave them unat= tended for a few hours to do their thing. It's always exciting to see what = has been captured, and sometimes I get a surpise, as was the case in this r= ecording made at Fogg Dam Conservation Area near Kakadu National Park in no= rthern Australia! https://soundcloud.com/wildambience/the-beast-of-fogg-dam **PLS NOTE THIS RECORDING IS VERY LOUD AT APPROX 1:05** I had to consult a mammal list of the reserve to discover that water buffal= o and horse still roam the area so I guess it was either one of these... |
