The ambience is well preserved and recording at low level has preserved the close animal sounds while it sniffed the mic rig. I had a look at the power spectrum and thermal HF noise was visible, so you lost nothing by recording low. What was the rig? The recording has an excellent feel of space and clarity with the other wildlife well placed. Thanks for sharing.
