Measuring frequency response and then applying this to "real world" experie=
nce is a particular problem when it comes to headphones. One has to decide =
what one means by "neutral". The excellent website headphone.com use a lab =
measurement system with a calibrated mic. And then subtract out the HRTF. S=
eems like a reasonable approach to me.

The graph for the Sony MDR-7506 seems to totally contradict reports of boom=
y bass:
