Robin, 

This constellation seems to be a result of the specific design of these 
recorders. The Olympus LS-10/11 recorders are the only pocket-sized recorders 
where I could measure a benefit of using the 24 bit resolution so far. So, it 
seems that the designers did a really good job here...
