I have used NT-1A in a NOS-setup and I hav never experienced a gap in the
middle.

This recording was made in a wooden land close to Hvaleyrarvatn south of
Hafnarfjordur in Iceland on  May 24 2011.

The Rode mics come with a reasonable shockmount which is strongly
recommended.
