Away from the seashore when there are no rescue helicopters around,
Iceland is a very quiet soundscape. I understand your wish for a quiet mic.
If you can't invest in MKH, you can put 6 or 12v lamps into the wind
zeppeline, running on a car or motorcycle battery. If not heating
enough, put several lamps in parallel. It might solve your problem.
Make sure that the lamps are not touching the (Rycote??) plastic.
