Hi Tim,

I use the Azden SMH-1 shock mount with all my ME/K6 shotgun microphones
and like the SMH-1 mount very much. As Azden does not list a MH-1, I
assume MH-1 is a typo?

Yes, as the SMH-1 mount comes, the ME67 depresses the O-rings used for
suspension too much and the ME-67 does bump the SMH-1 frame in the
front. However there are two simple fixes for this, first is to
replace the O-rings with a stiffer type, at least here in the USA,
O-rings are stocked in the local hardware store and auto-parts stores
and easy to find for a low cost. Another solution I have used quite
successfully is to use a small piece of soft foam about 3mm thick , 12mm
long, 19 mm wide under the ME67 at the front of the frame to help the
o-rings that come with the mount support the ME67... This solution works
quite well for as simple as it is and probably easier than hunting for
stronger O-rings and is what I'm presently using with my ME-67 and the
SMH-1 mount.
