When you set the USB connection setting to 'AC Adapter' on the Olumpus
LS-100 and power it using the supplied plug pack 5v1A (and even a PC
connected USB cable) it will happily record using the internal mics,
with both battery in and out. Also recorded fine with phantom powered
AT BP4025 mics.

When you set the USB connection setting to 'PC' the LS-100 becomes
'Remote (Storage)' when you plug a usb cable in, and you can't do
nothing except browse the recorders file system from your pc.

Simon Bennett
