Sorry, subject line should be as above. Peter Shute From: = .com] On Behalf Of Peter Shute Sent: Wednesday, 7 September 2011 8:34 AM To: Subject: [Nature Recordists] Sart time for SOny PCM-M10 with memory card I recently tried adding a 4GB memory card to my PCM-M10, and have found tha= t it adds quite a few seconds to the start up time. It seems to check throu= gh the memory before it's ready. Is this normal, or do I need to format the card or something? If it's normal, is the time proportional to the size of the card? If so the= n I might cancel my plans to get a 16GB card to leave in the machine, and g= et some 4GBs to keep in case the internal memory fills up instead. Peter Shute |
