recording1.mp3 sounds like wind noise to me.
recording2.mp3, I'm not sure if that's wind noise or some oscillations from=
the shock mount or handle/pole.
Most wind screens only reduce the effect of wind noise.=C2=A0 So even if yo=
u are using one and some good and commercially produced one, it can still b=
e a problem.=C2=A0 It's a very directional mic so it's going to be more sen=
sitive to wind than other mics.
The bulk of it in recording1 is sub 120Hz, so a high pass filter even in po=
st can take most of that out.=C2=A0 But it'd be best to prevent it at the s=
ource so you can run your gain hotter for quiet sources.=C2=A0 Do you still=
get this handling noise indoors with the A/C / Heater off and holding the =
mic in the same manner at the same settings?=C2=A0 If you do, then it's not=
likely to be wind noise.=C2=A0 If you don't, then then there's your proble=
m.
One other thought.=C2=A0 Is your cable braced against the handle, or is it =
allowed to freely rub against the handle / pole?=C2=A0 If the mic is bobbin=
g because it's shockmount can't handle it, the noise could be cable induced=
.=C2=A0 In terms of structure born sounds, the cable can be a big one.=C2=
=A0 Given the sensitivity of your mic, you might benefit from those rycote =
tails.=C2=A0 And maybe the lyre system that goes with them.
