Did you take the H4N out with the built-in mics to a place like
you're after to see what you get? John Lundsten measured the H4N's

-- a little concerning about possible noise if you need to crank-up
the record gain. Both John and Oryoki report that the TRS mic inputs
have more noise-- possibly from the phantom circuit which could be
worked-around.

I'd see how a location test goes first. Is there a dealer that rents
that you work with for your video business ? Maybe they have a pair
of condenser mics they'll let you run test with.
