Mark- since you're getting a hum from using the inverter section of the Xan= trex why not use the 12v output into the Fostex? You would be getting longe= r run times off of the Xantrex & you would do away with the hum. A more lightweight option would be to use one of the Tekkeon MP3450 MyPower= battery pack ($98), or one of the Bescor Side Kick NiMH 12v batteries ($15= 5)... Granted, these are not inexpensive- but, they are lightweight & they = should have enough amp hours to last the night. John |
