Not much interest in a SASS array.  Just an interest in the Crown SASS-P MK=
 II.  Which is on par with my current STO-2's, but with a better low end IM=
O.  And at the time using the 9V instead of phantom powered would have exte=
nded the battery life on the field recorder.  And that mic can be had used =
for about the same price used relative to the STO-2's.  But I've since got =
some MM-1's that take the phantom power burden off the field recorder (whic=
h basically doubles battery life per charge), so that's not a major conside=
ration anymore.

I was going with the MSRP price per mic since if you shop off the shelf, yo=
u're not likely to get the same online deals that you get elsewhere.  Altho=
ugh all of my current > $100 mics were bought used.  I tried some SM81's, w=
hich were nice mics (in the studio).  But too directional for my uses.  Plu=
s all of the other outdoor woes that go with directional mics.  And the SPL=
 limit on the SM81 is right there at the crest of some of the things that I=
 record.  Otherwise nice mics.
