I am sure that north of Edinburgh and Glasgow up in northern Scotland there=
are tons of great spots, lost of sparsely populated areas. Martyn must be=
able to confirm. As far as England, I recorded in 2008 in Lindisfarne, of=
f the coast in Northumberland and it was pretty quiet, although there were =
people walking around, just had to find a less crowded part of the island. =
Down south in England I'd guess is very difficult to find a good recording=
spot.
