Yes Rob, you are right, I agree, Audition hasn't got an elegant method for=
surround processing.
But though Logic is better in this respect it seems "horribly" locked int=
o
the 5.1 idea of surround.
Now Reaper is so much better in it's routing capabilities to all, yes I do=
mean all other DAW's. So that's what i use for my double MS & B format
decoding. This sort of thing seems utterly impossible in Logic (or Audition=
)
We could run nearly double the number of plugs in Logic

Ok that's interesting. But my love of Audition is principally as a WAV
editor supreme, I do simple stuff using it's multitrack capabilities & grea=
t
built-in fx & including multiple VST cascaded plugins, but this tends to be=
a max of 12 chans of audio, so I have never felt any speed/plugin limitatio=
n

commonly use , I would expect a tenth of that time in Audition (.3 to .8 of=
a second). IE near instant.

yes, for sure it has, but I am finding it hard to yield to it's "Special
ways" and in some slight ways it has got some things very wrong, well IMO.
Conversely Reaper has got so much right it is stunningly amazing, & PT has=
got most things wrong, hey just my impression.
BTW, at the moment I'm spending a lot of my time Beta testing a DAW
conversion prog

that means I have to switch between the 28 odd DAWS I'm reasonably
conversant with, so my observations are partly down to my constant exposure=
to a great mass of differing programs.
