It's a pair of Fatheads with any of an assortment of shotguns, the idea bei=
ng to grab the subject of interest and retain content. The shotgun (or any =
other pattern if the situation fits) is mounted in the middle of the bar. I=
use a Voxengo alignment plugin to keep things semi straight. An impulse at=
the outset helps in that regard.
Each mic gets a channel in Logic on a Mac laptop. The imaging is nice alth=
ough the ribbons seem to need gain. I'm still working out the kinks on tha=
t particular arrangement. I've been using the windscreen box for some time=
. I live on a windy mountaintop and like beach and desert locations which c=
an have some wind. Think of it as a rabbit cage only smaller with foam ove=
r the wires...
It all goes into two flight cases in the back of a Jeep.
