I've seen both cases - I prefer the PortaBrace.  To me, it feels
slimmer and tighter to the machine, and I like the materials they use
and general build quality.

The bottom battery flap is good.  If you run with small batteries,
you're wasting a little space at the back of the recorder.

(though it's still fussy getting the battery off, with the little
recessed flat button.  I've taken to removing the CF card and using it
as a button-pusher.)

I own neither; I use a Petrol bag for 702T and MixPre combo.
Considering getting an AR7 however, since I'm now mostly using 702T
independently.
