Hi Matt--
I evaluated the localization performance again, this time as a blind
test. With 12:00 (o'clock) being center and with speakers at 30
degrees left and right, I judged the medium distance dog bark to be
coming from these positions:
Sennheiser MKH-800 10:30
Sony PCM-D1 12:00
Sony PCM-D50 11:30
Zoom H4n 10:00
Olympus LS-10 12:00
Nagra ARES-MII 12:00
Mystery Mic 10:00
The M-S rig has better depth imaging in this sample and much wider
imaging for sounds spread out along the horizon in the suburban
presence. Rob D.
