Please Consider Beyerdynamic DT770M the 80=CE=A9 model, for location
recording.

I bought one (DT770pro, 250=CE=A9) ten years ago and are still there up and=

running. Sometimes you need to change the head cushion and the ear
pads, very easy to change and quite easy to find the replacement and
they come back like new ones.
Very reliable. I use them also in studio to EQ the recorded stuff.
I really can say is an excellent investment and seems they can last
forever.
I bought the Sony MDR 7506 to my girlfriend. Great brilliant sound but
she used them twice at home and the ear pad are already gone (!!!).
I also have a pair of AKG K240 and they are very good for studio
purposes, unconfortable on location and not so much isolated. Great
dry sound however.
I used the Sehnneiser MD25 as well, they are the actual standard for
location recordist. The sound is missing too much of low end, so you
cannot control the wind and the mic handling, the ear pad are too
little so the ear is not totally covered then and is lacking of
isolation. I would advice the Sony MDR-V150 insead.

I hope it helps.
