Two cents: I eagerly got one of these to permit direct powering of my
various electret mics from my 722, but did not get useable results.

I encountered a high degree of added noise, across multiple mics of
quite different design (WL183s, old radio shack 3038s, and my DSM
binaurals).

I would stop short of blaming the SP adapter, it may well be an
interaction between the 722, the adapter, and maybe even my particular
mics. But I haven't been able to use it. :/

If someone wants one, I know where you can get one at a slight
discount in mint condition... :)

PS I can also add that I have used other SP gear before and have no
reservations about recommending the company or their products,
generally speaking.
