http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-XLRM-MINI-2 Look at this, Chris at Sound Professionals recently came up with a circuit = built into the XLR connector that will actually convert 48v phantom power into PIP...no need f= or a battery module, separate preamp, etc. Very cool.
