Thanks John, Our crickets seem to sound different from that, I'll go out and see what I can record. Though I suspect what I'm hearing is distorted by my computer system. I've got to find out how to feed an MP3 direct into my Hi-Fi system. Also, I listened to your Kookaburra call. Wow, instant flashback to the opening sequence of something I used to see in the cinema called Australian Movietone News (or words to that effect), but you have to be a "greybeard" to remember that.
