Again it was taken wrongly, of course I value opinions about recording
gear, maybe I talk a different language here, I simply stated that the
recorder is not suitable to natural environments.... In my opinion..
What the hell is wrong with that!
You know what I hate about e-mails at times, my thoughts are never
meant to be condescending in anyway, if you take it that way, then I
apologize. You can't detect a tone in an e-mail or see the twinkle in
ones eye!
My original post was a review about a machine that I felt was not
suitable for my work, if it's suitable to others then so be it.
If Greg takes the Nagra VI into the Himalayas and comes back with what
he wanted I would say it's a great machine and suitable. I merely
asked how can you put faith into something untested! I am not
discrediting the recorder or the makers just certain uses in certain
environments.
