Yes, a few years ago I purchased a K6/ME66 off eBay that showed exactly this behaviour. However, it turned out that it was a malfunction of this individual unit. It has been fixed by Sennheiser and now it exhibits the same noise level both with phantom power and battery operation. Raimund |
